Well, following the signs to a lawn sale way out in the middle of nowhere, and at the end of a long driveway I saw a Starcraft Holiday OB, with the vegetation just starting to grow in it.. On a trailer but no motor. I think it's the 22' model but it's at least 18'.. Looks complete and has a late 70's- early 80's paint scheme with paint in GC.. I know that it's worth a second look and a knock on the owners door, but what could one of these go for in that condition?

No motor w/ vegetation should be $500 or less in my book.

The first thing is to check the trailer just to see if you can pull it home as is. Tires and bearings or a new axle can add quickly to the purchase price.

Good luck.

Bob Johnson's was the most expensive FREE boat I've seen or heard of ever, and that was all recovery costs, not resto costs. It was free...

Overgrown vegetation doesn't do the axles, rims & suspension any good but a debris filled interior stands up to the environment even worse....

If you are at all interested, start w/ 'haul it off for you', at no cost. You can always come back or offer more. Hard to get money back once it's on the table.

I don't know how debris filled the interior actually was, but definitely had some growth ontop of the back of splash well.. I'd have to check it over but I would figure on a bearing repack, tire replace and a quick but thuro trailer inspection. I actually don't think it has sat that long, but at least 3-4 years or so probably.. It would have been a very nice boat when it was parked.

I was thinking free or scrap price depending on how far gone the trailer was.
