LOL at CN Spots, DJ, and Flathead! Hitting a deer on a bike is not a funny thing when it happens, but if you live to tell about it you can laugh at most anything!

friend of mine was riding his bike up in the hills, road goes up and down up and down. A truck coming the other way sees him crest the hill then disappear crest the hill then disappear. Just as he disappears from the oncoming trucks view, the truck driver sees the deer jump across the road. a few seconds later the driver sees the riderless bike crest the hill going straight as an arrow. the truck driver, as soon as he saw the deer knew what was going to happen. he had 911 on the line before the bike stopped. The deer tried to jump over the bike and landed between the rider and the windshield and swept him right off the back of the bike. He didn't get hurt to bad, didn't break anything but rashed and sprained alot.

:( Had another one this morning ... both the motorcylist and the deer were DOA. Not sure if the deer did the cyclist in, or the car that came behind in the dark sometime later and ran over him??? About 30 years old ... very sad ...

As mentioned in the opening thread, the deer are starting to move ... please be careful!
