deflector hose replacement / both heads

how many deflector hoses do i need to replace all of them part#18-0892
1983 johnson 115 crossflow. Are you supposed to cut this part to length ??? or purchase 4 ? also if this fix dosent work i was thinking a or both?,sensors should be replaced new pump entire kit stats springs . thanks again.

You can purchase four pre-cut ones and trim with a razor blade. Or, you can purchase the hose and cut them yourself.

Temperature switches rarely go bad unless the cylinder head has overheated a lot.

You should service the thermostats - complete kit is part 18-3673.
