It's GONE. The aliens are reading them. Hope it wasn't a picture of them.

Re: Deleted emails

No it is not "gone"

delet from email
goes to
email trash
delete from email trash
remains on hard drive until space is written over by new activity.

Most people think a computer really deletes the information it does NOT. It remeoves the 1st character of the file name but the information remains. The space that the old information took up is now "free" and can be reused again

IF you do not do anything you can recover these deleted files with various utility programs.

These utilities are NOT part of windows - norton and others have them

You may also be able to retrieve them at a later date if you are lucky and that part of the disk has not been reused.

Your ISP also, by law, has a copy of that information somewhere as well, usually backed up to tape their policy is not to retrieve individuall emails from people because of the cost

Re: Deleted emails

If you forwarded it to someone, it could be in your sent folder.

Check your e-mail auto archive, could be lurking in there somewhere.

Re: Deleted emails

It may be gone from your PC, but just remember e-mail is forever. DO NOT ever put anything in e-mail, that you do not want the whole world to see, or anything you do not want remembered forever!

Just because you deleted it, does not mean anyone that you forwarded it to has, or the person that sent it to you has. Also like tomatolord said, your ISP has a copy as well as the ISP of anyone else who received a copy of it.

BIG BROTHER is out there!!!!
