had a mishap with a dock with my 2001 1800 fisherman. got a dent in the port side, about 10" below gas cap. anyone out there ever use one of those suction cup dent removers? i can get to the dent from the inside, but it's a lot of work. lookin for an easy way. dent is circular in shape, probably 5" in diameter, not real deep, but noticeable. thanks for any help....captn-tin

Yes, I've used those dent removers kits. They work great. I was able to pull out a few dings on each of my cars. Somtimes the dent comes out too far and you just tap it back into place with a hammer and using a plastic piece they include.

Depending on where it is located . . . another way is to deflate a basketball or football and place it beind the dent. Then just pump it up to pop it out. This is of course, depends on where the dent is.

You might hit the dent with a hair dryer first to heat up the paint a little so it doesn't crack after you apply the dent removal tool.

It works by applying a special glue to the suction cups and you wait a few minutes and start turning a screw which cranks out the dent and then it pops off leaving no marks. Pretty ingenious. I bought my kit at Walmart.

As long as the dent has no creases you should be able to get it good as new. sometimes you have to do it a few times as the tool pops off too soon.
