I had an old lowrance 3200 with thru hull transducer mounted in my boat, i picked up a faria depth sounder over the winter with a transom mount, could anyone tell me if I could mate the old thru hull to the new faria?the only clue as to what the old thru hull is from an attached sticker that says Narrow Angle TPD-1192-8. Thanks

PS-it was interesting down there in the bilge area, from the previous owner I found a nice drill bit, a socket, some coin, s/s washers and screws, broken sparkplugs and hose clamps.

Re: depth sounder questions

can u tell what the transducer freq is? Maybe I could shop for a compatible gauge and use the onboard trans and make for a cleaner install instead of drilling transom. Thnaks

Re: depth sounder questions

On the 3200 and 3500 Lowrance used a frequency that no one else uses today(including Lowrance). The only good news is that the transducers are physically the same size. When the display on on the 3500 went south on us two years ago, I ended up pulling the Lowrance transducer out and replacing it with a Raymarine transducer and DSM module.
