I shut the boat off to drift, didn’t notice if over heated but went to start and nothing, opened the back and noticed water filling the bilge up to oil pan, not sure how much higher it would have gone. Let it sit overnight, turned it over real quick and it had power, replaced the hose the next day and it cranked for a little bit, like 30 seconds then just stopped no power, bilge was still working the first time. When I tried the second d time after replacing the hose I saw a little smoke coming from around the alternator side. Not sure what I’ve done, any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much.

Welcome
You in salt or fresh water?

With water in the bilge it may have shorted out the Alt or starter

Ayuh,...... Welcome Aboard,...... Start at the battery, check, 'n clean the connections, both ends of both(+, 'n -) sides,....
If the starter engages, try starting it,....
If not, break out the test light, 'n figure out where the power stops,......
