df 70 vs. df 80/90

Hey everyone!
I just got my df 70's running after sitting for about 6 years. Long proccess, mostly fuel issues. Two test runs into it all seems well. I've recently done research and found the operating range is 5000 - 6000 rpm. Seems high. Is this right? Also, I've seen comparison charts and I can't find the difference between the 70, 80, and 90. Same size motor, same bore, same everything as far as I can tell. Can I possibly turn my df 70's into a 90 hp motors? I know the boat can handle it. Thanks!

I think you had better check the parts lists again, if they were the "same everything" they would all be 70's (or 80/90)
