Re: DF200 4-STROKE

Check your owner's Manual, Muskrat.

That is the call for the 20 hour service on most DFs.

Please don't post in all caps. It is harder to read and it is viewed as shouting.

Good luck. :)

It's in the Manual, Muskrat. Don't remember the exact procedure and gave my manual to the guy who bought my boat.

Re: DF200 4-STROKE

Muskrat: it is probably the oil change reminder , at 20 hrs most Dfs are due. I believe if it is a new motor , this oil change is done by the dealer, check that out as I Don't remember exactly. Make sure You refer to your owner's Manual. Here is how to cancel the reminder on a DF115, probably the same for yours.
To cancel
1. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position
2. Pull out the emergency switch plate. (that is the piece on the end of the lanyard)
3. Pull up the emergency stop switch three times in seven seconds. A short beep will be heard if the cancellattion is sucessful.

Hope it helps, get a manual ASAP. Also check out the recent post on corrosion problem. If You going to keep it in a slip and can,t tilt it all the the way out of the water, You might consider hanging a sacrificial anode off the lower unit. Best of Luck to ya.

Re: DF200 4-STROKE

it is a 20 hour service reminder, I took mine up to the dealership. to reset the light, push the kill switch on and off 3 times. It should reset.
