You will damage the u joints by running it past the redline on the gauge.....i went out yesterday ran into sand , i have to trim the foot up to start it to get out , would i damage my footend this way , i hear you should not start it with the outdrive up, is it true ?

How long you ran it in that position & at what rpm will determine if you did any damage....
If you do not hear or feel any unusual noise or vibration, you are probably OK......![]()
well i hear noise thats why i am asking , but my gimbal bearing is bad, so i dont know if this cause it to get worst .
