Did I make a mistake here? Merc 40 oil change

I recently changed the oil for the first time in a Merc 40 4 stroke. When I filled the oil I used the dipstick hole, instead of the "oil fill port" which unbelievably I didn't notice until after I was through. the oil level is correct on the dipstick and it did take the 3+ quarts. Just worrying about any irregularities or problems that I might have caused?

No problem, it probably just took you longer through the small dipstick hole.

That's for sure. I kept wondering about why such a "dumb" way to add oil, but turns out I was the dumb one, lol. Thanks.
