Morning guys

1990 4.3 V6, A1/gen1 (OC773149, OD301161)

2 drains on the sides of the block, 2 riser drains on the top/sides(1 each side), and 4 lower/ bottom side exhaust manifold drains (2 each side), all with the rust-poke method. I disconnected all the coolant hoses at the water pump and tstat housing and blew them out with a shop vac blower or compressed air. I also lowered the drive.

Did I miss any water drains? Should I pop the 2 square drive plugs at the water pump? (are those the automotive heater hose send and return?) I'm a little gun shy because I completely forgot to drain a heater in a friends boat last winter....so I got to install a heater last spring.

Thanks guys, your help is always appreciated.

I wouldn't mess with the sq plugs......most-likely crack the plug. The only other thing would be the power steering cooler?

Nope,.... No need to pull those plugs outa the circulatin' water pump,...

They're for the Return lines for a water heater, or cabin heater,....

Ya gotta pull the Hot water feed from behind the t-stat, in the intake manifold,....

What ya Should do is pull the Big hose off the circulatin' pump,...
It'll drain the pump, which can hide 'bout a quart of water,...

'n as Checkmate says, don't forget the P/S cooler,it's probably down under the port-side motor mount,....

Thanks guys, I had forgotten about the ps cooler. I just pulled it and and got a couple cups of water.

Just had the boat out a couple days ago for a beautiful day on lake washington. So sad to see her go to bed for the winter.

Thanks again guys
