Starting to push 50.............it's pushing back..............HARD!! If I'd known I'd live this long I'd of taken better care of myself then.:redface: :D:D Seriously thinking about taking the same path as DJ. Unfortunately any thing remotely resembling ambishen (sp) in that particular area is long since gone.

... its taking longer to take the bartenders and waitresses out so plan on an extra week there :) but seriously if you are feeling achey and slow at 40 turn up the burners on diet and excersise soon because it aint gunna fix itself or get better with age.

I could get away without the reading glasses if I could figure out how to grow longer arms!

41 this past September. Nothing physically changing except maybe the need to lose 15 lbs or so. The thing that strikes me the most about getting older is the growing intolerance to stupidity. It is becoming increasingly clear why you see older cranky guys out there ....its because they have seen just about every type of idiot there is to offer out there, probably more than once, and are just plain sick of it.

Well, I still wear tie-dye T-shirts every once in awhile and still look around behind me to see if my dad is behind me every time someone says my last name with "Mr." in front of it!

Re: Did you see/feel a difference when you turned 40

Golly, I don't fit in to the rest of this crowd. I'm 43 and things started to slowly head down hill for me at 30. At 43 my life is like: I can't eat anything good anymore or I have to take a pepsid AC. I gained weight. I can't read fine print. I have chronic hemorrhoids. I have funny skin growths. My balls hurt sometimes. (Went to the doctor for that one he says it's not uncommon for people my age) Things don't spring to life and get as solid as they used to. (if you know what I mean) I used to wake up every morning and it looked like I was sleeping in a tent because there was that big pole in the middle of the blankets holding it up. Now I wake up in the morning and have to pee. When I get to the bathroom I wonder where the dammed thing went. Sometimes if I sleep wrong my neck gets so sore I can hardley move for a week. All the women my age got married had kids and got fat. Some of my old friends got married and there wifes won't let them leave the house. Some of my other friends got tired of setting in jail and they never leave the house. Some of my friends had bunches of kids and they have to work so hard to support them that they never leave the house. There is more but, I have to stop typing and go pee now.

I always tell all the young people I meet to have fun while there young .

Hey Man, You're too young for this, What you're describing usually happens in your 50's, and later, but it does happen. They have little blue pills for that, but if they don't work, like with some of us, read down to the end for alternatives, But, Get a checkup!, if you haven't lately, these symptoms are common with Diabetes, this might be your issue, if this is the case, with diabetes medication, it would get better, once you level off. In the meantime, as long as you're not lactose intolerant, take "Natures Bounty" brand "chelated" Calcium, Magnesium, & Zinc, combo minerals 3 tabs at nightime with water, and tell me about your mornings, if things get better?, (take 3, and call me in the morning,,,lol) and for date night, try that "liquid ginseng" in the little bottles usually sold at the local convenience store, take about 30mins before the event. Finally another issue that can bite you in the *****, is prostate issues. I have a "personal natural cure" that worked for me for years now, that I found by accident! About 3 yrs ago I was on the verge of getting sliced by lazer! for a swollen Prostate, I couldn't get rid of the water! I was livid! I happened to go on vacation just before I had to do the dreaded deed! and came back a new man, by accident,,, Down in NC, I went to Hooters, and had their famous hot wings, never having hot wings before, I happened to get overserved, because I teased the waitress about not getting the little legs, but more wings, then she brought me extra legs, no charge,,, I stuffed myself good with them, and took some home with me, because my wife was not really into them. I proceeded to snack on the extra wings the next few days at the motel, and by the time I got home to NY, I was peeing like a race horse? Finally asked the wife what we did different, and then it dawned on us, "Hot Wings!" Well, ever since this, I make sure to have hot wings at least once a week, and haven't needed to go back to the urologist since!!! I've become the conisuer of hot wings, always searching for the best tasting sauce, not the hottest, and now even my wife enjoys them as much as I do. This has worked for me so far, and I tell the story to all who'll listen, trying to save others from this misery, and see if it works for them.

Aches and pains yes. If youre not feeling some you are not living. I'm damn glad i made it past 30, the rest is just icing on the cake. Now where did I leave my reading glasses. If someone will help me up I'll go find them. :p

How do you get "overserved"? I've heard of overeating but not overserved. That sounds like something from a lawsuit.

Anyway, there is something to what you said. Jalepeno pepper is a known aid to prostate issues. It is also a known fat burner.

Ok, just to elaborate, it was my first time eating hot wings, my wife was not sure about eating them? I ordered a dozen I think, for us to share, my wife tried them but couldn't take the heat, so ordered something else, so I was stuck finishing them myself, but I was enjoying them immensely, with my bottomless cola, getting used to the heat, and as I said, kidding the waitress about getting more wing parts then the little legs, without my knowing she appeared a little while later with another dozen (just legs), hence, I was "overserved",,,lol,,, so I dug into the legs knowing they're easier to eat, with more meat on them, I don't know how many I ate, but they wre going down good, and I was overstuffed, and loving it,,, the rest I took to the motel, & finished over a few days. I was kinda glad I had them all to myself, Hooters hot wings are good! no reason to go any hotter either, at least for me. I don't know, if I eat onions, or peppers, I love them , but kill me later, repeat forever, ,,, But the hot wings, no problem! Yes, there is advantages to the jalapeno peppers.
