However, disconnected the fuel line at the tank. Holy crap batman what a mess the inside of the
fuel line. Started checking inside the engine. I could not find any particles of the plastic
liner in the filter or hose from the male connecter. So all new hose and bulb are installed. Need I look
further? old jim

I ran into the same thing recently, I was using the silver line stuff with one of the attwood fuel line kits, it has a thin liner inside , and mine was coming apart. if its running ok I would think its fine. In my case I am going to have to go through my carb , the idle mixture screw isn't working like it should. Its way to rich right now so some thing is about hafe plugged up.

.....it could have been the affects of ethanol gas on old rubber. It's a good thing you changed out all the lines, now you may want to rebuild your fuel pump...it's just a few bits of new rubber and a spring...very easy job. Use a half-a-can of Seafoam every few tankfuls to keep it all clean in there and you are good to go!
