Didn't want to rain on anybody's Mother's Day

Last week a 13 year old girl in my eldest son's middle school died of an apparent heart attack after falling ill at a track practice as she was being medflighted. She was buried on Saturday. I can't begin to fathom what kind of Mother's Day her Mom had yesterday.

She was very active both academically and athletically. I guess if there's any consolation at all, it's that she lived a lot of life in her brief thirteen years. A prayer for her family would be most appreciated.

Heard about that......sad story for sure. Our priest talked about it in his homily on Sunday quite exstensively.
