I am considering buying a rebuilt power head for my 1992 Evinrude VRO V4 90 hp, but I have found a decent deal on a 1990 Johnson VRO V4 90 hp complete outboard. Are they 100% the same motors?

Thanks,
Chris

The "big" difference is that on the 1990 the driveshaft O ring is on the driveshaft. On the 1992 the O ring is in the end of the crank. Basically the same motor. Same power etc. Both powerheads will work on either midsection.
