Will a prop change effect steering so that the torque tab will have to be readjusted?

Yes it can. Differant prop designs perform differant tasks such as bow lifting, power, speed. SO....if you changed the prop and you are obtaining good WOT at maximum specified RPMs stick with it and re-adjust the trim tab.

Bob

Thanks Bob. The previous owner confirmed the same thing, yesterday. I'll make some adjustments next time I'm out.

Also note if you have a fast/light boat and you get a high-lift prop you can trim very high, you will get steering torque when trimmed high. You can get a trim tab for the skeg to help this too, and keep an eye on water pickup or get a nose cone.
