:) <br /> I am with Dons.<br /> line boring, balancing,blueprinting are all words right out of hot rod magazine. most folks aint gotta clue what it is or actually does and for most applications stock is fine.<br /> modern cores dont shift much and modern cranks rarely bend. most are balanced just fine for operation below 5000.<br /> on the zero's. that is why plasitgauge is soooo nice. it eliminates basic math skills :)

Yeah, I think you guys're all right.<br />I'm worrying too much.<br />Thanks for the sound advice. Not easy to find.<br />I'll keep going with the rebuild. <br />Promess some pictures.

cuzzi, advanced auto, there is no difference in the marine crank and auto crank. Just about everything else is different. I was taught that from a gentlemen that did engine testing for built test 4.3l engines for boat manufactors. Now he is one of the top guys at Mack Truck. Use moly based engine rebuild lube. it will be a dark gray color.
