Im using a harbor freight seal puller and unable to make progress removing the prop shaft seal on a 2006 9.8hp Nissan outboard. The seal rubber seams really tough/hard and very much stuck around the exterior seal perimeter.
I have begun to damage the prop housing ass’y from prying.
Afaik the only other option to pull the seal is the “two screw” method which I don’t expect to work either.
What are my options here? I can purchase a new prop housing ass’y.
Additionally how is the prop housing part removed? It’s circled in red in attached diagram.
