Of the pictures that you take whith your digital how many do you actually print out??? Im considerng buy a good allinone printer for my home.

I don't print any of them. I upload mine to www.clubphoto.com, and if there are any I really want I just place an order and they print out 5x7's for like 19¢ a print.

My wife scrapbooks so we print out a few. I like being able to print out just the ones we want to keep instead of developing a whole roll. Having them printed from an online company is a viable alternative also. We have the Canon i560 and love it. Of course there are a ton of good quality inkjets out there that have received good reviews like this one.

similar to what James mentioned above, we use shutterfly.com and have been happy. in addition to prints we've gotten mousepads and invitations and were pleased with both.

I bought a digital camera about a year ago. I haven't printed out even a single picture.<br />If I want to share them I simply email them to people.

I've only had a digital about three months now, and haven't printed a one either. I just email them around or make a disc. I do like the idea of online ordering prints, though. Our printer is a POS for pictures (I've played around with it a little), so I would guess I might be inclined to print more of them if we had a better printer.<br /><br />Just my thoughts (It hurts sometimes)<br /><br />Doug

You guys up north have those printer docks in shopping malls? They are everywhere here now, Very convenient and you get your picture immediately.<br /><br />Aldo

Before my baby was born last year, I bought a good digital camera and a Canon i950 printer. I have printed at least 500 print. You can't tell the difference (IMO) from lab prints and I have not had any fading issues. I purchased a refill kit from inkjetgoodies.com and in the year and few months since I purchased it, I have not had to spend any money on ink. I figured I am spending about 15-20 cents per print (which includes ink and paper costs). <br /><br />I really enjoy being able to make prints on the spot and make copies as needed for family. Even if the printed pics fade, I could always reprint. My wife an I have not used our Nikon 35mm in a long time.

I mentioned above that we use an online service for the most part, though we have a decent HP printer for printing them when we need to. The quality is good, but the real advantage to having an online service do it is that we can post the pictures and family can order their own in whatever size and number they wish from anywhere. We don't have to print them out and mail them to anyone anymore ('cept when we want to ). It was a great time saver when our baby was born last year. Wow, how time flies.

as a photographer with some 30 years of pro experience and owner of three printers (one of which is a Canon allinone - I can tell you that you need to get a printer designed to print photos.<br />I have two Epson 785epx printers that are simply dynamite and they aren't that expensive. I bought a re-furbished one - done by Epson - and it is working perfect... got it on eBay for under $60.<br />All in one printers do not - NOT - print photos well.

Well Since My old Printer took a dump last night I went out and bought an epson all in one. Model number rx500. Im really Happy with my choice

I think almost everyone would agree with you on that. A friend bought one to just print pictures and even though its 2 years old it still does a better job than our printer and its brand new.<br />Since we use the printer almost every day we went with one that is a printer only. For everything else I use the scanner.<br /><br />After thinking while typing this I could see a photo only printer in the futher. Since my wife is a amateur photographer and the scanner does 35 mm negatives and slides<br /><br /><br />We most likely print out more than most, do to the fact that my mother in law does not have a computer and likes to see pictures sent by family members.<br /><br />I like the idea of the online services... I did not know about that. do I live under a ROCK or what! <br />I did find a online service for redone printer cartridges that were 25 % of the cost for new ones for our old printer. Don't know about this as I haven't checked yet. HP destjet 5150

One things about photo-quality printers (including all-in-ones), is that that last years (last month's ?) models are ugly dogs, compared to a vendors new offerings. The technolgy for printers is improving and keeping pace with digital camera improvement. <br /><br />Color, ink management, including separate ink tanks for each color (a must have)and print quality, just keep getting better and better, as prices go down.<br /><br />A good printer is a worhtwhile investment for using with a digital camera. <br /><br />The only one's I send out (to ezprints.com) are larger than 8x10, which is all my Canon i850 can handle. Otherwise I print my own.<br /><br />The only lame thing about new printers, is that they now include "starter" ink cartridges, that are about half full. It's like ink costs about as much as gold, therefore saving them and you additional expense, which in reality probably costs pennies. <br /><br />It simply forces you to buy higher cost refills sooner, if you do not refill your own.

I've had a good digital camera for 3 years now...only printed 1 picture. I have a computer hooked up to my TV that will show a slide show of 60" pictures...

Just got my EOS 10D along with HP Photosmart 7960 printer.<br /><br />I have already printed at least 10 enlargements about 8x12" in size of the grandkids. They already occupy space in frames.<br /><br />Scoring big points with the missus.<br /><br />Cheers<br />Andrew

My wife plasters our house and now her office with my 8x10's printed on our inkjet.<br /><br />She uses the inexpensive ($5)11x14" matted oak frames from Walmart. They make an 8x10 look much larger.<br /><br />Who ever thought we could be "artists".

Was at my mom's the other day, she was showing me some digital pictures she took and then printed at the kodak machine at Walgreens, $.20 a print. They looked better than the reg 35mm prints, I was really impressed, she takes all high res pics.<br /><br /><br />James bond...<br /><br />You mentioned clubphoto, how do you like them as a sharing server? Any spam because of them? I have about 80 megs of pictures and need to get them up on a server to share.
