Re: Disconnecting oil injection pump

I disconnected my oil injection pump after two outings when I got mine for fear of failure whilst having fun. Just disconnect all fuel lines and pull the mixer out. Buy a new fuel line with ball pump that goes directly from the gas tank to the engine. Hopefully you already have a water separator...don't leave home without it! You are not used to mixing the oil into the gas so you need to be vigilant every time you fill up. I have a plastic container that has the different ratios for the oil printed on the side when I mix, and I use a 50-1 ratio in my 115. I also dump a can of Seafoam every third fill-up (29 gallons) to clean the system. Good luck and happy boating!
