disconnecting steering cable on teleflex

I am changing consoles and need to disconnect the steering cable from the teleflex steering unit. I took the clip out and tried to tug the cable from the teleflex unit and it would not budge. What do I do next??

you take the clip out and you insert the long end into the little hole to release the cable. then replace the clip. thats just a holder.

there is a small hole aoubt 90 degrees from where the clip was stored. insert the long end of the clip in the hole and wiggle the cable. it should come right out. there is a spring in the that holds the cable.
