I wonder if your tank had been coated with the red devel tank coat stuff if so it could be letting go, if so woods idea may be your only option to break it all loose

That's why I asked back in the first couple of posts about tank coating or liner. That isn't dried gas. Somewhere along the years the tank was lined, probably because it is a leaker. Some liquid liners are not ethanol proof. Google removing tank liner - https://www.google.com/search?q=remo...utf-8&oe=utf-8 shows many methods.

You should pressure test the tank before do anything. I would.

tank is out. thanks for the reminder about a chain as an agitator. Was quoted $150 minimum to clean the tank at one of the few remaining radiator shops in the next town over.

That's what I would do.

$150 is cheap considering the chemicals and time you were looking at are close to that already.

Yup, I agree. Radiator shop is the BEST method!!! IF you wanna spend $150 bucks. You might wanna try the Chain and dish soap. It's pretty economical and doesn't take a lot of effort!!! But that's just an Old Dumb Okie's opinion.;)
