Do all mercruiser power assist steering systems have oil coolers?

I am piecing together my engine and have seen a lot of info on power steering coolers for mercruisers but I have no cooler in my box of parts from the previous owner. Is a cooler always included in an assisted system? Thank you

A cooler is always used on mercruser systems.Are you using some sort of aftermarket kit?
