I think technospeedo thinks he's on the usenet, rec.boats for instance. Hopefully he'll hang around and learn a little.

for: nos4r2
Are you kidding me? This is a public forum. Not a beg me for advice. Information is shared voluntarily with the intention of creating goodwill. If I learn something here that benefits me it benefits others as well. I don't know what your position is or who you are to think you need to give behavior lessons to anyone. Additionally why do you feel compelled to bring in you two cents worth when no one petitioned it. Laddies seems to understand that although we are far apart the sharing of his knowledge will ultimately benifit him. I owe no one any apology that I haven't already given. I have petitioned for peace and you jump in and stir it up. If any one needs a lesson in manners it is you. Walk a mile in my boots before you bring this judgemental trash into the conversation.........
For member 40533
Yes, I am learning and I already new that it is common for small people to be offended easily and act anonomously. If you know who I have offended let me know and I will handled personally.

OK, as you're obviously not understanding here,I'll clarify-without attempting to cause conflict.

So far you've told one of the moderators to butt out, been sarcastic towards another regular user and helpful contributor to these forums and the tone of your posts suggests that you see your need for information as other people's imperative.
Change your tone a bit and you'll find that people are a lot more helpful. A blunt manner will not create goodwill but using "please" and "thankyou" will get you a lot further.

Keep the thief of peace and the serenity stealer at arm's length. These people are masters of "death by a thousand cuts".

The Marathon is a 60ci 60hp. The Super Marathon is a 66ci 70hp. The 1965 and prior Merc manual is imperative as it has a really strange conventional ignition system.

If it's an early one it won;t have have a shift cable and starts forwards and backwards. 1961 and later models shifted like today.

-W (in a huge crunch before taking off for a graduation later this week - no real time to post for a while - sigh)
