I'm trying to set my trim limit switch and am confused a little...

attached is a pic of my boat with the trim all the way down that I can go without my drive hitting the floor... the tongue of my trailer is on the ground so I can't lower the front any more. Notice that the cylinders aren't all the way in. There is still an inch or more they could go more but I would be hitting the ground.

According to what my manual says, I'm assuming that the trim can go all the way down to where the cylinders are all the way in. Is that right? The switch doesn't limit the down position??

And it says in the up position to limit it to 21 3/4 inches of extension, right?? I guess I thought that the drive would move more between lowered and the up position.

I hope my post is clear... I know it might sound a little confusing...

Here's another way of asking it... how far does the tip of the skeg move between the down and up position (without trailering?).

Not sure what I am missing in Blk-n-Blu's link, but I really don't see anything about adjusting the trim limit switch.
Might give these instructions a look-see. Pages 8,9, and 10 explain (with pictures) how to adjust the trim limit switch.
