Do I have to put my JOHNSON away ?

I have a 1988 Johnson 150.I live on Long Island New York. I will be useing my boat on weekends In November striper fishing. After that it will probably sit untill March. I will drain and fill Lower unit. Do you think I need to fog it out ?<br /> Thanks John

I would if its going to set that long, also ad stabilizer to the gas and run some through the carbs before storing.

Also be sure to get all the water out of it. Tilt the motor all the way down and let the water drain out of it.

Yes, fog it and put in stabilizer. Drain and refill lower unit.

Also Grease all the fittings nothing worst than frozen steering in the spring because you let salt water sit their all winter.

You know,you can run her on a 1:24 mix that way you will be a bit smoky,but it is as good as fogging and you can stay on the water

Hey if your drift fishing for strippers I will be happy to talk you out of calling it a year <br />Pulled my boat last week I fish out of fire island inlet were are you located, know the feeling action hot and the weather is hard. Well their is always (chocking on the word) the charter boats to take care of the itch.<br /><br />Till next year
