I just changed my thermostats on 1992 Evinrude 125. Had overheating on starboard side only. Seems to have fixed the problem. I noticed looking online at the parts diagram that a relief valve spring was shown between the thermostat and the thermostat cover gasket. These were not present on my motor. They were not present when I changed them last time either. Are they really missing or is this not supposed to be (or not neccesary) on my motor?
