It's sounding more positive as you make your replies. Using a straight edge, mount your motor so that the bottom of the "AV" plate is even with the bottom of your boat. Also, find your zero trim angle and mark it on the tilt tube visible from the helm. You'll use this reference every time you go boating for best trim. Make sure that, with the normal load that you carry, your rpms at wide open are running at max as the mfgr designates. It's most efficient, ost effective and does not tax your motor if not trimmed or propped correctly.
