I'm using some 5200 sealant on the bolts that are going through my transom for my swim platform. After reading the back of the 5200, I see that it cures within 5-7 days. Does that mean if I attach my platform tonight, I won't be able to use the boat this weekend or that I just shouldn't use the platform? Thanks for any info.

i truly believe there are some times you can disregard directions. heck, we all do it. but in that particular application, where the product is being used for below waterline sealing and will be subjected to stress, i would follow the directions. i highly recommend waiting the full 7 days before launching.

Is there anything that is just as acceptable as the 5200 that can set-up in 3 days?

Nevermind gentlemen. I see that I can purchase a quicker curing 5200. Thanks for the responses.
