I have a 2001 Evinrude 15hp 4 stroke:

I have been working on my motor, and now reassembled it. I have a question. Do the spark plugs (RED arrows) attach to a particular "nipple" on the coil? (BLUE arrows)

Or does it not matter, as long as they are attached to any "nipple" on the coil?

Thank You,
Barkley Sound

p.s. i put arrows in the pic, not to insult people's intelligence, but just in case i am using wrong terminology :)

It shouldn't make any difference as that mtr has a " Lost Spark " ignition system. Maybe somebody will chime in with a different opinion.

Polaris snowmobiles also had the same ignition system on them back in 1972. Nothing new.

thank you guys. after reading boobie's initial "it shouldn't make any difference" reply, i was happy, but still confused.

the "lost spark" was the best tip... i searched the internet and found a wealth of info on "wasted spark" ignitions.
