Why bash the customer? They came to you (a profesional) and asked for advice. I think it would have been better to explain the differences between the (2) oil's purposes (educate the kid somewhat) so he could make an educated decision on his own.

Just my take on it...........

I did the best I could to explain the oils and what they needed to do to correct the problem. The kids didn't want to hear what I was saying. I was pleasant about it to no end. I guess since it somewhat related to the recent thread about being "ripped off" at $125 for an oil change. I found it amusing that they asked a profesional about it then didn't want to accept my answer and couldn't believe how much it would cost to get the oil changed. Also sometimes the oil disscusions get pretty "spirited" around here and I thought this might start one.
