Re: Do you beach your boat?

I did not until I installed a Keel Guard from iboats. It took about an hour to install.

This was my second installation.

Worry free beaching.

I've heard about this product and I am going to have to check it out. Though I would imagine it would pull the paint off if removed.

yes, the 3M VHB tape that is supplied is known as a "hot knife" tape, meaning to remove, you need to hot knife it. it is also what they hold semi trailers together with. that being stated, it is intended to be permanent. the lesser bond (paint to hull, or adhesive to paint) is what may give way.

LOL, that's what we call peeing behind a beached boat. Actually usually as said as "he/she is polishing the prop"

Or a prop check is what we do here in Michigan. Polishing a prop here means running in 12 inches of water on plane, do not let off the throttle or you will really get her shined up!!

Now that you mention it, we say "checking the prop". Never mind

Yep ... To cold to wade in the water when ice is formed on the edges of the lake and it is snowing ...

I'm sure it would. I've never removed one. My previous boat had one on for nine years. It never moved, peeled or lifted. Once on, it's on.
