do you have to have a tower or pylon to wake board

Hello never wake board before and want to try but before I bought a board do I need a tower or a pylon I have 19 foot chaparral bow rider with a 5.0 merc motor

nope, you will be just fine learning with the rope on the transom. You don't need a tower or pylon until you start learning arial tricks.

Didn't have a tower when I started last year either, but now that I put one on the boat, I love it...:)

Deff don't need a tower, we wake boarded for a few years with out one then we got one. That first jump with the tower though i can almost bet money you will crash. No pull down from the rope that your used to only free flying. Every single one of us got higher than we ever have before, and also crashed harder than ever before!
