The only time I run a motor dry (single carb only!) is when they are going in my basement to TRY and keep the smell down for my wife
Running them dry doenst get all the fuel out of the bowl anyways, so whats the point? Over the winter add some Stabil or Seafoam and leave the bowl full. Just my 2 cents.
