Re: Do you work from home?

When I finished off my basement, I built a 6'x8' cubicle style office with the intention of working from home one or two days a week. I got the OK from my boss, who is the best boss I have had in years.

So two days a week I fight the traffic in my kitchen to get to my office....And I save about $75 month in gas.

Cool, now will you reduce the size of those pics so they don't techno the whole thread and make it unreadable? :p

I am barely at home.

I have school all morning, then go to work and come home. That is a 8am to 10pm thing everyday. Between classes I take out the laptop, otherwise it is a before school and after work thing.

Have an office at home, and one in walking distance from home. Lots of benefits, down side is there is no quiting time.

No Blackberry as long as I can duck it. Aldo was right, surfing on the slooooow hotel connection. I have figured out how to get to iboats from Oz. I run IE through the company VPN, so it looks like I'm in San Diego . . .

Re: Do you work from home?

I can't work.:'( I have school in the morning, but have nothing to do in the afternoon. Nobody wants to hire a 13 yr old. :'( I really do want to get hired doing something.

I had a great paying job for a while. I refereed soccer for my church soccer program. I got paid 15 bucks an hour. I could work 4, occasionally 5 hours on a given Saturday. But then, they started requiring certified refs. And, you had to be there every week. I couldn't do that because my scout troop has at least one trip a month. Often 2. I have to come on those because I was a patrol leader for a while, and have been a quartermaster since then. I decided scouts was more important than money.
But my parents make me pay my way through some things and I am coming to the end of what I saved up from refereeing. :'(
I need a job.

Bassboy,
you sound like a pretty stand up guy. i have a lot of respect for your decision with scouts. don't worry to much about having a job. eventually you'll wish you had less work and more time for scouts1

Re: Do you work from home?

I'm starting to call work 'home'. Gave my laptop to my College Girl, and my son's computer at home is junk, so I only spar on here from the ol' office. I'm starting to get grief from my sweetie, (THE REAL BOSS HERE AT WORK) so I'm trying to learn to lurk more and occaisionally snark here and there. Kinda tough to do for me as I tend to .... you know. JR

Pull it out, it will give a loud pop when you do... if I was a Mod that pic would have been zapped and a smaller one put in place without anyone knowing the diff. :p

Re: Do you work from home?

Have you ever thought of not clicking HTML and just leaving that button alone? Is it like your brain?... do you just have to take it out and play with it once in a while?

Glad you are back to normal Ray... :p
