So I’m fiddling with the new boat and I came across an issue. The nav lights and the front docking lights are build together in a mount that wraps around the front corner of the pen. The nav lights work fine. The docking lights don’t work. So I dug in a bit and pulled the light out. It looks like a glass eye (kinda like a magnifying glass) but it has NO LIGHT and NO WIRES.

HMMMMMM......

the switch is in in the dash for it......

so so I guess my question is how had would it be to add a light fixture into the existing light housing?

Or or should I just leave them be and add some new LEDs somewhere else?

Thanks

sorry i I still can’t figure out pics. I use an iPhone exclusively. I take the pic and try to upload it and it says the file is too big.

If if you wanna see it just google 2000 party barge docking light.

Kinda hard to answer your question without more information. If you have the mounts for a light, then you would need to find what type of actual illumination device it uses, find that light and wire it in. Or you can purchase a different light and wire it in.

Either way, you gotta find a light and wire it in...

If there are no wires I would have to assume someone cut them, 2000 is early for LED lights so I would also assume they were at one point incandescent.

When you say "no wires" do you mean the light itself has no wires or there are no wires coming from the boat to the light?

Being 18 years old who knows what the previous owner(s) did to it but should be fairly easy to fix either way
