Ayuh,...

1st off,... You already have a thread going about this,... Right Here....
It's frown upon for posting mulitple threads about the Same Issue...
And,...
Buying, Selling,+ Bartering is Also frowned upon in the forums......

Start searching Wheel Retailers, or ebay, or craigslist, or Where ever you'd care to look for your Wheel....
Whom ever built the trailer, did Not build the Wheel,... It came from a Wheel Supplier...
You've just gotta figure out Which 1.....

I have one like that for my spare, but where yours is gold, mine is black. I got it off CL locally here. I have seen them on some older jetboat trailers, dont know if that helps at all.

also, call the trailer manufacturer. my 22 year old trailer was made by a company that is still in business, i called them a couple years ago to find out what the exact bolt pattern was and they could tell me. they should be able to tell you where to get the wheels, if they are still in business.

Ayuh,.... WTF is that?

it must be tuff to soar with the eagles, when youn have to post with turkeys!!

I would check tire shops and wheel shops.
ford had a wheel like that but the center was not gold.
measure the bolt pattern and the center hole mite be a regular wheel not a special trailer wheel

Re: Does any one have a spare wheel like this

My trailer has the exact same rims on it as well. I had a tough time finding one to match. Those rims were real popular in the late eighties/eary nineties but not so much anymore. I was able to find one off of a ford van but it was a 15" not a 14" like yours probably is. However with a good quality 215/75/r15 tire on it it was exactly the same height as my 14" trailer tires when mounted and inflated. So I went with it for a spare I do have a tandem trailer though so I felt pretty good about it not being an actual trailer tire. When I was younger I was into jeeps and had one with those same rims on it they were real wide and exactly what I needed but I hated the gold centers so I wiped the centers down real well with acetone and a scotch brite pad. Made a tube out of poster board and painted them with black hammertite spray paint, they turned out very nice and the paint looked new when I sold it 5 years later. I have seen that same rim but all chrome at a number of rim suppliers you might be able to do the same thing with an anodizing kit if its that important for your spare to match.

I had a set of those, all steel that looked just like yours on a 1970 Ranchero in the mid 80's, the wheels came from Pep Boys, I think they were an off brand, something like Unique or similar. They were called modular wheels, they came in chrome or gold centers. The car came with two on it, I just added two more so all 4 matched.

It may be easier or cheaper to just buy two new wheels of another style too, many trailers seem to come with American Racing Outlaw series rims in all aluminum. That's what was on my last enclosed trailer.

its the multiple posts thing...

anywhoo. If I remeber my 80's wheels, thats called a gold nugget. I cant remember if cragar or american racing (both maybe) made it. I think you are stuck with Ebay or CL.

It's the multiple thread thing I think !!!!
If you get no responses you can always give it a "bump" to the top to see if anyone missed it and can help you.
Personally if you just need a spare and had difficulty getting the same rim then I would go for a regular steel rim instead. I would much rather it not match but keep rolling home than hold out for the "right one" and be stuck. It does not have to be pretty to be functional.
Just my 2 cents though.

buying selling and bartering? I see that as a way for boaters to help each other out...i was offered a boat part on here at a smokin deal, and im glad it was offered to me. If i had the wheel he was lookin for, i would send it his way, but mines a different color. oh well, im not worrying about it. if its not allowed, ill be sure not to do it then.

Re: Does any one have a spare wheel like this

Hey guys / gals. I am sorry about the double post thing - it seemed like my first post was more about the trailer (manufacturer, make, etc.) than it was about the wheels. I am still very new here and this is our first boat. I appreciate the helping comments about the wheel and again, sorry for the post. This site is very helpful to us newbies. Now quit beating a dead horse - I get the whole double post is a no no thing.:D

Re: Does any one have a spare wheel like this

It's one thing to know of wheels that looked exactly like that, but it's most important to have the right bolt pattern to begin with. Many wheel designs are made with different bolt patterns, especially if it was made to look like car wheels which can vary quite a bit.

You should probably start with one of these so you know the bolt circle diameter you need:

I have a set of 4 sitting in my garage with a 5 X4.75 bolt pattern, but I'm in AZ. to help you look. They are "Gold Nuggets" Chrome Modular rims, popular from Pep Boys in the late 80's and eairly 90's good luck
