Hey guys just wanted to know if anyone boats on Orchard lake or Cass lake in MI and if anyone knows when DNR put the ramps in? If you do boat those lakes do which one do you enjoy more. Thanks.

I have been on orchard lake once (first launch with new boat) I don't know when the docks are put in..so cant help ya there. But I can tell you to be very careful about the under water hazards. read the charts that they have here http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,1607,7-153-30301_31431_32340---,00.html
I live down the street from there and it wont be y first choice for boating. I did go to macEday lake..very nice and deep and fenton lake was cool but it was late in the season and a weekday when I went so it was very empty.
cass lake looks to be very busy on the weekends and there are a ton of boats stored on the water there. either one I can tell you that you need to get there early if you want a spot..like, by noon.

The docks will go in soon...within the next couple weeks, but you should be able to launch there now as long as the gate is open. You don't need the docks in place to launch since it's pretty shallow in that area right by the shore. The guy won't be at the booth charging for access until later in the month of April.
