hey guys :)

i know the physics of water removing heat from your body quickly compared to in air, but I feel the cold in water alot more than my wife and friends.

In air i don't feel cold at all, from a child my mum always complained of me not wearing a jumper in winter, even when on our yearly skiing holidays. My wife constantly complains of feeling cold.

But... get in the water and she feels fine whilst i'm complaining of how cold it is??

anyone else the same?

i'm in the med where it definetly aint cold

I do not go in the water unless the temp is body temp, therefore i do not go in the water. :)

I can (snow) ski without jackets or the like, and I'm always hot (even before I moved to the godforesaken heat & humidity capital of Florida), and yet, I freeze in water that is colder then about 88*. I'm right there with you.

I once worked with a guy who wore short sleeve shirts in the winter. He was always warm. Use to make me cold just watching him..

If the water is warm and you are always cold, I would get checked for diabetes .
If your body is not turning your food into energy, you will alway's feel cold.
Sugar is a B.S sourse of energy.

I have always gotten really cold in the water, and do not have diabetes!:D:p

I even snorkel in the warm waters in the Caribbean in a shorty wetsuit . Tell me again why I live near water that freezes????

Leo24 , you are not alone!

BTW- I can, and do, work outside a lot, especially in the winter and am hardly ever , ever cold. Weird.

hehe, yeah that's what gets me these days, swimming in the med with either a shorty suit on or a tshirt, feel a fool a times.. If my friends ever make fun i remind them whose boat they're on and ask them how long they think it'd take them to swim back to their car :p

I wonder what it is though that causes it? i don't have diabetes either.

Sorry buddy, wasn't tring to spook you or anything, it just brought back a memory from when my dad was diagnoised with that condition.
And the one thing that sent him to the doctor was that he could not keep warm,
and it was the middle of summer.
