Does anyone have a clue what a new 2007 suzuki is worth

Im looking to repower my boston whaler montauk.I have a local dealer who has a brand new 2007 suzuki still in the crate.Its hard for me to put a value on a 7 year old motor ?) Not to mention if it would be a good choice for my boat with has a 90 on it now.Once i walk out the door its a 7 yearold motor new or not new.Also were there any changes made over the years to the 70 that would make a big diffrence.....Thanks for any input

I'd guess about 20% off what a 2014 would cost you. It's still new. However this is just a guess.

That dealer would probably like to get shed of that motor and may be willing to bargain down with you....If you're serious and have cash money it might surprise you what a sweet deal he'd be willing to give you....

The new DF70A is an entirely different engine from the 2007 model.

The 70 is a good match for a 17 Whaler - we've done quite a few, though we generally do more DF90A's these days since it's lighter than the old style 70.

Very good deal. You'll get the three year factory warranty and the 3 year extended protection plan for free, all starting now, not 2007.

Make sure he installs a new impeller in it first, as well as changes all the oils.

Impeller, yeah a good idea. Outboards are not shipped with engine oil, and the gear oil will be fine.
