Weird place for a fire extinguisher behind the engine in the engine compartment.
Anyone know the specs of this engine? Cam lift and duration, head valve size, head combustion chamber size, compression ratio, piston type, and injector size?
I am fairly new to inboard's but I am a mechanic and have a bunch of experiences with building small and big block Chevys from the old carbed 4 bolts up to the new LS based engines.
we're all going out to buy fire bottles now.... cool
Go to the adults only thread and find Mercruiser Service Manual, and download #24.
Thanks! I'm glad I found this forum.
I was surprised to find out these engines have a roller cam. But the cam doesn't have a lot of lift, 0.278 intake and 0.2874 exhaust. Changing to a 1.6 ratio rocker must be a popular upgrade for these engines.
