Make sure to keep a water supply to the lower unit while idling and then keep an eye on the temp.Hope you have better luck with the Chrysler than most others have had.You may want to bolt that 4hp Jonnie on as a kicker.Could come in handy.Charlie

glad it worked out. yeah, would assume with the 115 on the 15' that the fuel tank would empty pretty quickly. again, congrats.

I like the Chrylser motor but they are gas hogs. Parts are still avaiable however you may need to hunt them up.
Oh well cheers and I don't have a clue as to the boat.

Hades,

Boat looks like its in good condition and motor appears to be working fine. It should be fine for using in Wagga Wagga, is it for use in the river?

Dont worry about what the Yanks say about the price you paid for it; if that came with a trailer, you got a bargain!

Don't know about the exchange rate in Feb, but today AUD1,000 = USD777.

Hows the fishing, mate?

$1000 AU is about $750.00 US. IMO a good price for the hull/trailer (assuming there is a trailer).

Hades302, google 'Unicorn', see what comes up.

Aldo

yep, not a bad price at all. Don't like the look of the boat, but all the same, you got a decent price. Well done!

cheers

'specially since it's AUD$1000. I'd not hesitate to get into boating for that price - plus it looks like a fun rig and the motor, if kept as well as it looks, is likely to be just fine. Looks like a blast, have fun.

I get a kick out of people that say $1000 is too much to pay for an old boat that floats and runs when they spend way more then that on interest on their new boats.

Amen to that. If these folks are spending $25k plus for a 18' I/O brand new, I could buy 5 old boats same size and have them all running.

I refuse to pay for a new one when the old ones look 10x better, coming from the proud new owner of a 1964 Chris Craft.

The hull is 1/2" thick! Find that on a new boat!

Boat looks really cool. Hope you have fun wuth it. I'm glad the motor runs well. I've always wondered what Chrysler was thinking when they designed the looks of their engines. They are just plain ugly. Of course, that is my feeble opinion. Cool boat though.
tabbott
