Does anyone own a Crestliner Phantom?

I'm considering going to look at a 1994 Phantom 21'. I'm wondering if anyone has one of these and, if so, how do you like it? I'd like to know how they handle rough water, if they're a fairly dry ride, etc. Also, this has a 200 hp Merc on it. Any estimate of the top speed of this rig? I'm guessing around 50 mph with a stainless prop (sized correctly, of course). This would be used for both inland lakes and rivers and trolling on the Great Lakes. I would be putting a kicker motor on it. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

FNH: I almost bought an '89 Phantom with a V-6 Volvo a couple summers back and spent too much time mulling it over. Someone else ended up with it. What a beauty. Had every option(Crestliners top of the line boat). It was like new and the guy maintained it to perfection. The trailer had only been used twice. (I'm getting tears in my eyes as I type!!!) That boat with a 200 should do at least 50 but probably closer to 55-60 with a light load. They handle the rough as well or better than any other aluminum boat will. Am I being too forward to ask the asking price??

It's about $14K, but does not include any electronics, trolling motor, etc. I will need to spend another $3-4K to get it decked out the way I want it, including graph/GPS, downriggers, Minn Kota Auto Pilot bow mount trolling motor, etc. Where are you at? Maybe I'll make you a good deal on my Alumacraft if I end up getting the Crestliner.

The '89 I looked at was 13,500 with everthing including totally enclosed cockpit canopy, electronics, remote bowlight etc. no troller or kicker though. At the time I thought he was high for a 14 year old boat, and they wife wanted a fiberglass boat (what the heck does she know about boats! she wanted one that looked "more ski boat") but once I realized how much they cost new, I decided I wanted it and it was gone the next day. Well, as you can probably assume I ended up with a Bass style fish & ski ("more ski boat looking") that the whole family is very happy with, so I'm not in the market for another boat (unless the price is right ). I think the price on yours is real fair if it's in decent shape. I'm sure you'd be grinnin' from ear to ear the first time you had it out!!
