Does engine rotation matter to an outdrive ?

If I was to replace a clockwise rotating engine with a counter clock - would the same outdrive be ok to use ?

Does engine rotation matter to the outdrive or will the same out drive cope with either rotation ?

No, you have to change the drive. Why do you want to change it like that?

Unless you have a volvo drive there is no reverse rotation upper drive unit. counter-rotation takes place in the lower unit with standard rotating motors

Thanks, that clears it up for me - rotation is lower unit not engine.

LH rotation vs RH rotation motors used to be an issue with inboards. with outdrives, one drive is in reverse, the other in forward and the props are RH and LH
