I have a 1998 SeaRay 180 BR OB that I just bought. My boat was full of water and I though i had an auto bilge. Works when I turn it on manually. Not sure if its auto or not. How can i tell?

Hi. If the boat was full of water I'm guessing it either doesn't have an auto pump, OR it does, and it isn't working
Either way, I would invest in a new pump!

Find the pump. If it has 3 wires, it has a built-in automatic switch of some kind. If it only has 2 wires, look for another device attached to one of the wires. Take a look here for what the automatic switch may look like: automatic bilge switch - iboats If you don't have an automatic switch, you can pick one out there, too.
