I'm back on the market (again) looking for my next boat (3rd). After having owned 2 boats already and incurring lots of experience on the water, I have developed an extensive list of "wants" for my next boat. Unfortunately, I do not know if such a boat even exists. Here is the list:
Does anyone know of a model that actually fits all that criteria?
I learned really quick that big bayliners/sea rays require a circus acrobat to reach the bowlines. I also had a deep-vee hull that would list badly just by putting 2 batteries on the same side of the keel. It also had a I/O motor which was a ROYAL pain. Too many parts to potentially break.
- 20-25 ft. long
- Outboard
- Center console OR Cuddy
- Easy bow access
- Must be stable (and not list when 2 men stand on the same side.)
- Do not pound.
- Provide a dry ride.
- Closed transom (NO cutout)
- Must hit at least 30 mph/34 kts
- Trailerable
