I see this type of race boat each year at our annual Memorial Day boat races here in Newberg. They are very hard to get on plane since they tend to be very tail heavy. Seems like this driver was more than successful. Likely a gust of wind got him airborne as often happens during our race. First driver to end up in the water each of the 2 days gets a Hell Diver award.

I don't think he's smoking Dave, just alot of spray comin' from the prop, probably was airborne for a sec and the pic was snapped right as he came back in.<br /><br /> Looks like a pisser tho!!!!<br /><br />
Get a boat and now she tells me she wants a jet ski.... tell her I'd build a hydroplane.. like yours wimp and she asks how many people can it hold... tell her one and she says no... go figure...lol
