I found a pontoon boat for sale and the description is as follows: This boat has pontoons and frame in great condition with no leaks, flooring is good with no soft spots, "furniture" and carpet are haggard, but functioned fine for me.
-no motor
-no trailer
A perfect base to a houseboat, or whatever other type of project boat you wish. or throw a motor on it and run it as is. thanks, Dave -
-clean and clear nys title

big and roomy, yet easy enough to transport, (i moved it and loaded it from water onto a 16' sled trailer no problem). The asking price is $1000.

1. You have to move it. Figure that in your cost(s). We do alot of business with a local marina. They always "lend" us one of there trailers.

2. Look at the log size (diameter). Some older "toons" are sorely lacking in this area.

3. Look over the logs-CAREFULLY. If it's a freshwater "toon" they usually hold up OK.

4. "Toons" are very easy to customize. You can make your own furniture or pick up some good deals on furniture HERE ON iboats.

5. Last, but certainly not least, is the expense of an engine. This may play into item #1. Buy an engine and ask the dealer to help you move/launch it.

where are you located, i see toon trailer on craigslist all the time for $1,000-1,500. i have a 20 footer, and would have prefered to have a clean slate to work with.
i bought mine 1988 Monarch 2004 50 hp Johnson, with trailer for $1800. i have now about $2,100 in it. it has 22 inch pontoons.

I don't know, a grand sounds kinda high for a boat with no motor and trashed furniture.

Start really low and work up to a price they will take, you would be suprised how little people will take for some stuff.

You don't say what size, brand ect, but I would start lower than that.

It's a 24' Playcraft. I currently have a 50hp Force outboard on another boat I could use and I'm sure my dad would sell me his old fiberglass boat with the 70hp Johnson outboard so a motor really isn't a problem. My main concern is finding a cheap way to move it. It's about two hours from my house so however it got moved would have to be SECURE. I'm going to wait a couple of weeks and then try to work up a deal. Crossing my fingers that someone else doesn't beat me to it.
