I think those numbers are excellent and better than I would expect unless the rings were new.

Excellent numbers. If it were mine I'd check it myself just to have a baseline. Their gauge may have been a little "happy" but that's OK, the even numbers is what you're after. Although it is unusual to find both sides exactly the same.

If it weren't a dealership mechanic, I'd probably wonder if he/she forgot to release the pressure in the guage each time!

I don't know what the original specs should be on this motor but if it hasn't been run much, I wouldn't be surprised at getting good values. My 1972 Johnson 65hp has never been rebuilt and the numbers are right at 138 psi for each of the three cylinders. Every so often, you just find a really great motor - old or not!

I have 140# on both lungs of a 1975-50 HP.
